29 students from eight Global Colleges colleges went on a three day Global Stay Tour to Kenya in April 2021. Together with their cultural guides from Nafsi they learned about pollution and environmental issues in the slums of Nairobi. Due to the corona restrictions and a traveling-ban, the cultural guides could not take them to the countryside. However, climate activists Christine and Kisilu Musya (from the film Thank you for the Rain) showed them around via zoom. They live near Mutomo and have organized the local community so that they now have a water collection system and produces fruits and vegetables.
The students worked on their final products at the same time as they participated in the Global Stay Tour and posted their experiences on instagram.
