Listen to Nafsi Groove FM - in English and Swahili

A new radio station has been launched in Nairobi.

Some of the young participants in the Tangaza communication project have opened a radio station with chatter and good Afrobeat and reggae rhythms after completing their training.

The radio hosts sit in Nafsi’s new studio next to the office near Ngong Road.

The radio channel addresses some of the issues that affect the lives of children and young people in the slums.

It can be:

  • news for children and young people
  • Difficult and controversial debates about race and ethnicity
  • Creativity and artistic opportunities for emerging young artists
  • interviews with young people who have traveled and have experiences from other countries
  • mental health, where people are invited to share difficult moments in life and what they did to move forward
