My Planet

A group of adult acrobats, musicians and dancers from Nafsi Africa* in Kenya are touring Denmark invited by Spor Media’s Global Kids project. Along the way, the artists will be staying at high schools, where they will conduct workshops with students and teachers and perform the show My Planet.

Through song, dance and acrobatics, they depict the clash between nature and ‘civilization’, and their story of global climate change sets Danish youth thinking.

The project has received support from CISU and the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces.

*Nafsi Africa is a grassroots organization in Nairobi, Kenya. Several times a week, volunteers train over 300 children and youth in the slums of Nairobi. They learn acrobatics, dance and music, gain skills and confidence and get away from the dangers of the streets.Since 2014, Spor Media and Nafsi Africa have collaborated on several projects: Global Kids, Manzi Rada, Global Stay Tours and Tangaza.
