In the TV series Rootless, five young boys are now on their own after spending time together at an asylum center for refugee children on the island of Ærø. They now have to find themselves and their place in the community with the Danish youth.

But how do you do that when you’ve fled war and destruction – and ended up in a foreign country without family or friends?
